Body Scrub

A body scrub is a skin care product whose primary function is to remove dead skin cells through exfoliation as well as cleanse the skin and increase the body's blood circulation. Sometimes a body scrub is referred to as a body exfoliant, body gloss or body polish. The exfoliating component needs to be abrasive enough to achieve this but not too strong so as not to damage healthy skin. A scrub works in a few ways: As you massage it over your body, the exfoliating granules help to slough off dead skin, and the rubbing action itself boosts circulation and helps drain your lymph nodes, by increasing blood flow to the skin’s surface. Plus, after all that deep cleansing work in the shower, your post-wash moisturizer will be better able to soothe and hydrate your skin.

Sauna Session

As you might know, sweating is a great way to burn calories and rid your body of unwanted toxins. But how do you sweat when you’re injured, or unable to exercise?

I like to sweat in an infrared sauna. Infrared saunas help your body release a number of toxins, including heavy metals like mercury and lead, and environmental chemicals. The benefits don’t stop there. With infrared sauna technology, you can also lose weight, relax, relieve unwanted pain, increase your circulation, and purify your skin.

Table Shower

A table shower, also called a Vichy shower, is a series of shower heads that attach to an extended metal bar. The bar is suspended above a waterproof massage table, and the shower is typically offered as a hydrotherapy component during a body treatment. In addition to the purported healing benefits of water, table showers are ideal for messy treatments like body scrubs or mud wraps, where the client is usually required to stop treatment and rinse off products.
